Tooth Extraction

The permanent teeth in our mouth are supposed to stay for our lifetime. There are situations when we have to remove those useful teeth like trauma, car accident, decay, periodontal disease and to cure crowding with orthodontic treatment.

When you visit the office of Dr.A.K.Islam, he will make sure that your tooth is removed painlessly. Once the tooth has been removed, a blood clot forms in the socket. Dr.A.K.Islam will pack a gauze pad into the socket and have you bite on it to help stop the bleeding. Sometimes Dr.A.K.Islam will place a few stitches to close the gum edges.
You will have post surgery instructions that you should follow for about two weeks. You should not have any complications like dry socket or infection if you follow Dr.A.K.Islam advice. When needed you will be referred by Dr.A.K.Islam to specialist oral surgeon in town.
